Stop Smoking Cigarettes

I have been busier than usual during lockdown seeing a number of clients online for stop smoking cigarettes and none of them have looked back! That is because with hypnosis we concentrate on what we gain. No one likes the words ‘give up’, we associate it with depriving ourselves and negative feelings, so we focus on the positives and the benefits of returning the body to its natural state.
It is widely accepted that non-smokers (even those who have smoked cigarettes at some point) live longer and with a higher quality of life than those who smoke. There are huge health benefits to stopping smoking cigarettes and they begin within 20 minutes with a drop in heart rate and blood pressure. Within 12 hours carbon monoxide levels return to normal and after a few weeks lung function increases and circulation improves. You will also be much better off financially, so it’s a no brainer!

One of the questions I always ask a client wanting to stop smoking cigarettes is…
How many chemicals they believe are in a cigarette? Answers vary from 15 to 25. There are in fact 4,500!
Pretty shocking, especially when you realise what some of them are.
The other myth associated with smoking is that it is addictive. It isn’t, it is just a habit, so once we realise that, it becomes much easier to just choose to stop.
Stop smoking cigarettes with hypnosis
Smoking cessation with hypnosis takes just one session (which lasts two hours) and has a very high success rate. With hypnosis it is possible to visualise yourself the way you want to be and to mentally rehearse a new ‘desired’ behaviour, so you can see yourself as a non-smoker and give yourself a gift – the gift of health!
It’s also a really relaxing way to stop something that potentially could cause you great harm, so you really have nothing to lose. If you would like to stop smoking cigarettes, feel less stressed and have more energy, then please get in touch to discuss how hypnotherapy can help you to live a smoke-free life. Don’t think of it as quitting, think of it as gaining!
