Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a therapy that combines tapping on acupressure points (identified in Chinese medicine) whilst focussing on negative or unhappy memories or thoughts. It is often described as emotional acupuncture. The tapping unblocks the negative energy which manifests in thoughts and makes us believe that we can’t do something rather than, we can.
We all store trauma in our bodies and find ways around dealing with fears and behaviours that create unhappiness. This then causes disruption to the natural flow of energy and a block. With EFT and gently tapping, the energy block shifts and releases. Relief is immediate. It is an empowering self-help technique that clients can take away and use on themselves for all manner of debilitating everyday issues. It reduces negative emotions, physical pain, food cravings, and with positive affirmations, it is then possible to implement positive goals and focus on optimising emotional health.
I teach my clients to use EFT to manage negative feelings and feel empowered and the great thing about EFT is that once you learn the technique you can do it anywhere! Children love it too!
