New Year, New You
As we enter 2022 our thoughts can turn towards new beginnings. New Year’s Resolutions and the pressure of giving something up or starting something new can be counterproductive to wellbeing if the goals are unrealistic, or unsustainable.
The Centre for Mental Health has suggested that up to 10 million people in the UK will need mental health support over the next 5 years as the effects of the pandemic rumble on.
So, with that in mind, perhaps we should be thinking about how we can support ourselves and what we can do to give us a sense of calm, fulfilment and meaning. Discovering what you value and what you would like to achieve can help personal growth and, ultimately, happiness.
Giving our brains some “time out” from the digital overload we encounter every day is a good start as being constantly connected is detrimental to our ability to switch off and fully relax.
When we give our brains a mini-break with hypnotherapy, research has shown that stress levels lower, our social connections improve, sleep is boosted and we become more creative and happy.
New Year is a good time to take stock, but often fear and anxiety can create blocks and hold us back from finding clarity in order to make these positive changes. A lack of self-belief can create a barrier.
Hypnotherapy creates an opportunity to relax, regroup and reset. You will then befriend the person you already are in order to live your life purposefully and to feel liberated!
So, if something is stopping you from creating some attainable new beginnings for yourself this January, do get in touch for an online appointment. Hypnotherapy is a nurturing and restorative way to spend an hour and will enable you to think better, live better and ultimately to feel better.
