Lizzie Smith Hypnotherapy - negative thoughts

I’m writing this blog after testing positive for COVID, and feeling pretty negative! When we are unwell it can make us feel sad and stressed and the negative thoughts can take its toll on our general wellbeing.

We are actually hard-wired to think negatively and to focus on the worst scenarios as this keeps us wary and potentially ‘safe’. However, this can also take the joy out of life so, it’s important to manage our emotional health with balance.

We fear not being good enough, that we can’t do something, or that we are not as lucky as the next person…sound familiar?

How to deal with negative thoughts

Hypnotherapy can help you to sow the seeds of positive changes. To understand the triggers for feeling as you do and create a kind and positive dialogue to counter the negative thought patterns. When you realise that it is possible to remove self-imposed limitations you will feel lighter and start to find practical and positive solutions. It will also help you to embrace the power of positive thinking.

With hypnosis it is possible to visualise yourself the way you want to be and feel and to see the good things. The brain won’t try something if it believes it to be impossible, so it is important to believe in your ability to achieve something. This will then create a positive shift in the subconscious, overcoming negative thoughts and the self limiting beliefs will be released.

Hypnotherapy can help you to reframe your thoughts, build resilience, set realistic expectations, enhance potential and create confidence.

Our own thoughts directly affect how we feel, so if you would like to feel more in control, positive and ultimately happier, then do get in touch with me for an online appointment. We can discuss stopping negative thoughts and my hypnotherapy session will help you feel better straight away.
