A story yesterday by BBC Health Reporter Rachel Schraer talks about the fact that more than one million people have given up smoking since the COVID-19 pandemic hit. This is very good news.

Smoking causes damage to the lungs and airways and harms the immune system, reducing the ability to fight infection, so with COVID-19 ever-present, now is the perfect time to give your body a chance to heal and return to its natural state.

The pandemic has played a significant role in influencing the UK’s seven million smokers to quit the habit. However, millions more are continuing despite the fact that smokers are more likely to suffer from the three classic coronavirus symptoms of shortness of breath, cough, and fever and, according to advice from the Government, are more at risk of severe symptoms of COVID-19.

During the lockdown, I have been busier than usual seeing clients online to help them stop smoking and none of them have looked back!

Stop smoking with hypnosis

Smoking cessation with hypnosis takes just one session and has a very high success rate. Smoking is just a habit and, despite what many people believe, nicotine is not addictive, so, with hypnotherapy, it is much easier than we may think to stop. Hypnotherapy can also help you to focus on eating healthily too, so you won’t swap cigarettes for sweets!

With hypnosis, it is possible to visualise yourself the way you want to be and to mentally rehearse a new “desired” behaviour, so you can see yourself as a non-smoker and give yourself a gift – the gift of health!

It is also a really relaxing way to stop something that potentially could cause you great harm. So, you really have nothing to lose! If you would like to stop smoking with hypnosis, feel less stressed, and have more energy then give yourself the present of good health. Please get in touch to discuss how hypnotherapy can help you to live a smoke-free life and get booked in. You will leave after two hours as a non-smoker.

Don’t think of it as quitting, think of it as gaining!
